The reason the son of god appeared was to destroy the devil's work
That is 1 Jn 3.8b.
And here is part of what he came to destroy. Just MEN ONLY to read below the fold please. Guys, you'll see why.
WOMEN: I do not recommend ladies look at it. Call me a patriarchal old misogynist if you like, but there are some things I think the fairer sex should be shielded from. And I think that men are the ones who are supposed to do the shielding. To accomplish this the men have to know from what they are protecting the women. So yes men, there are some things that we have to look at. It's part of our job. But IMHO it's better that ladies do not.

Yes, this is a real picture of a Syrian Shi'a toddler in chains. She's watching her parents being executed by members of the Free Syrian Army - those are the "moderates" the West is supporting - who along with people like the Islamic State, the "radicals" who the West does not support, seek to oust Syria's President Assad. Soon after this it seems she had her heart cut out.
Hard to tell the difference between "moderates" and "radicals" isn't it? Just as well the clever people in our governmentS know the difference eh? Us dummies are obviously quite clueless and need their help 'cos from here they all look the same to us.
This is from a group of people belonging to a relgion whose founder stated: "I have been made victorious with terror [cast into the hearts of the enemy]," Sahih Bukhari 4.52.220 (see here for a useful explanation of the background and meaning of this passage). Such Muslims seem to take the words of the person who first ordered terror, Muhammad, the perfect man, the al-insan al-kamil, as being final and absolute in their understanding of their Deen or religion, just as Christians take the words of Jesus. Here we have an example of these Muslims putting this saying into practce.
I really didn't want to pass this on. I really don't want to expose people to this sort of horror. I can hardly stand to look at this poor little mite - it's too horrible. But a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture is of something that breaks our Lord's heart. I know it broke mine, and I am not any kind of good man (Matt 7.11).
The picture is among many from an article by Raymond Ibrahim in which he criticises the media for, quite correctly, publishing the tragic images of another dead toddler, Alan Kurdi, washed up on a beach - those we saw in the news a few months ago - but not publishing any of the many images of those Christian and minority children suffering at the hands of the Islamic State and its allies.
It's a fair complaint. If the general public could see what these people were doing they might be more inclined to push their governments to do something about it.
If.
So here again is the link to the full article.
MEN: Unfortunately, you need to read the whole thing. Follow all the links, familiarise yourself with what the stuff we sometimes hear about actually looks like and let it sink in. You will be moved. This is a good thing. If you still don't quite get it, listen to the song below. It's part of our job:~
