according to russia today anyway
Oh. Good. Grief.
No, not "anti-Islamic" and not "anti-Muslim" either - anti- SHARIA is the issue actually.
Those nasty "far right wing" xenophobes are at it again according to RT. This is a little rich coming from what amounts to the Western mouthpiece for ex-senior KGB officer Putin's regime, but I digress...
Note how the perfectly reasonable answers to the interviewer's questions - and likewise the speaker's image - are almost swamped by the sounds & images of demonstrations. Note also the usual straw-man criticisms and attacks on policies the AfD doesn't have and on things its leaders have never said. All designed to give an impression that things are not as they are.
- Burning asylum centres are in reality, mostly set on fire by the migrants themselves.
- Nonsensical comparisons with Jewish minorities who integrate superbly and do not want to set up their own parallel legal systems do not make Sharia compliant Muslims into Westernised Jews.
- AfD are only anti-migration and anti freedom if we believe RT and don't check for ourselves..
Islam, being in its Orthodox, historic sense Sharia, is indeed "a threat" because Sharia law is against Western standards and freedoms, but the interviewer conflates this with "every person who is a Muslim is a threat" and attempts to slur the speaker. Keep comparing and contrasting this alongside the media's treatment of London's Mayor and of Donald Trump.
Five minutes from the alternative universe much of the West's media seem to inhabit are below.
